Baroque palace from the 16th century. XVIII, completely reformulated by the first Patriarch of Lisbon, D.Tomás de Almeida. It has remarkable seventeenth-century tile floors including excellent invitation figures that accompany the noble staircase. The palace as well as the Mother Church had interventions by the Roman architect António Canevari in the second quarter of the century. XVIII. The facade of the church has marble statues imported from Genoa by D.Tomás de Almeida. The baroque complex of Santo Antão do Tojal also includes a second palace whose main façade is a monumental fountain, entirely designed by António Canevari. The same architect owes the aqueduct that supplies the palaces and the village with water. The classification includes both palaces, the Mother Church, the aqueduct and the existing structures in the garden of the Mitra Palace: pigeons, lakes and tiled back benches.
