Vanya, meaning "Wild" in Sanskrit, is a nature resort spread over 10 acres of giant trees and plantations and is located just next to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.
Guests can arrange day trips at the tour desk, or request for a relaxing Ayurvedic massage. The resort is a 1 km uphill trek from the base camp of the hill. Guests are taken on a vehicle from the base camp to the accommodation. The vehicle drops off the guests at a drawbridge that is folded back every evening for safety measures.
Located 2000 feet above sea level, the resort's cottages all come with a balcony, tea/coffee making facilities and a personal safe. En suite bathrooms have a shower and free toiletries.
