It has an area of ​​9,887 ha. and borders the bustling Conguillío National Park.

Among the most important resources it has are some hills like Cheñe and Coyán, the reliefs, soils and vegetation, which can be seen in all its paths, whose main species are the araucaria, ñirre, lenga and forest cypress. Cordillera Within the fauna that can be observed within the Reserve are the fox, the squeak and the puma and among the birds the black carpenter, the choir and the chercán, among others.

It is located in the bay of Corral and has an area of ​​9,757 ha. administered by the National Forestry Corporation (CONAF).

Its territory consists of different types of landscapes. The western, central and eastern plains, the north central and south central depressions and the various valleys. In all you can see different vegetation, typical of the terrain, altitude and location.



The reserve is located in the municipalities of Lonquimay (Malleco province) and Melipeuco (Cautín province).



Main access goes from Melipeuco via an old road to Galletué, 25 km from Melipeuco; the road is gravel on 15 km of dirt over the remaining 10 km. Only double-wheel drive vehicles are accessible in winter.



It is one of the places where the araucaria forests are best preserved.
