Quinta das Carvalhas is a property of great beauty and spectacularity, with a predominant position on the slope of the left bank of the Douro River in Pinhão, which extends along the slopes of the right bank of the tributary Rio Torto.
The earliest written references to the Quinta date back to 1759, with its magnificent Old Vineyards of post-phylloxeric plantation reaching the respectable age of a century.
This magnificent property reaches 600 hectares, comprising 120 hectares of vineyards interspersed with beautiful forests, Mediterranean scrub and centuries-old olive groves. Its privileged location offers stunning views of the region, as well as a private panoramic road leading to the mountain ridge where the famous Casa Redonda is located.
During visits to Quinta das Carvalhas we organize thematic wine tasting, and our store offers the full range of Quinta and Company wines.
Visitors can enjoy the vineyards and their breathtaking scenery, or take walks on the farm and try our birdwatching program.
It is also possible to climb to the top of the farm, 550 meters above sea level, where the famous Redonda House is located, and enjoy a spectacular 360º panoramic view of the region.
