Zell am See-Kaprun is one of the most multifaceted year-round holiday destinations right in the heart of Austria. Glacier, mountains, lake – Zell am See-Kaprun combines the entire diversity of the Alps. In this unique paradise situated in a wide and sunny valley bottom in the immediate vicinity of the national park “Hohe Tauern”, golfers find the largest golf resort in the Austrian Alps. The two 18 hole championship courses, which are among the “Leading Golf Courses of Austria”, are named after the two local mountains – Schmittenhöhe and Kitzsteinhorn.
Each of the courses demands the players' full attention and precise strokes. Since 1993 one of the greats, the German Bernhard Langer, holds the course record on ‘Schmittenhöhe’ with a 66 shots. Also Annika Sorenstam made her first victory on the European Ladies Tour. But with it`s five tee-boxes the courses are also very fair for players with a higher handicap.
