With an area of 1,100 m², Espaço Israel Pinheiro brings the bold and clean lines of Oscar Niemeyer that integrate with the landscape, dialoguing with the green of the Bosque da Constituinte and the other buildings in the Praça dos Três Poderes. In addition to being a museum with its own, digital and interactive collection, the Space has physical facilities that serve for various types of meetings, studies and debates, available to partners and interested entities.

On the ground floor of the building (470 m²), there is the interactive auditorium, the first in Brazil, with 70 seats. Its projection area in HD digital cinema (2048 × 768 24 progressive frames) occupies 8 × 3 meters and is interactive with the audience through the use of tablets and smartphones to vote for the films you want to see. Cell phones are also transformed into remote controls for guides and teachers. In addition, its content is updated on-line via the internet by the team of the Ciclope studio.

The interactive audiovisual Sertão Vivo is a journey through the Brazilian savannah, composed of 160 films, taking 3 and a half hours. It presents the city with its biome, the second largest in Brazil. More than 10,000 km were run and several states visited for the production of the content.

Special programs for the educational project are also shown in the auditorium, such as the films Águas do Cerrado and Permacultura.

New biomes are being included, starting with the Atlantic Forest.

Right at the entrance of the EIP there is an interactive mural on the issue of sustainable development (67 m²). There are 3 installations. Clouds of Wishes shows in real time the occurrence on the internet of a set of 70 words related to sustainability. Through the design of these data in the shape of a tree and spheres, visitors follow the prevalence of topics on the network in Portuguese and English. Ideas on the relationship between Homem Natureza shows in 3 three screens clippings of moments of this relationship, and offers 3 more touch screens for visitors to deepen the issue. The Trajectory of Israel Pinheiro presents in video the main moments of the biography of Israel Pinheiro, a touch screen complements the information with deepening correlating this trajectory with the history of Brazil.
