Church of longitudinal plant composed by single nave and semicircular main chapel. In the right side elevation has attached the House of the Despacho and the sacristy. Built in the 16th century, but deeply altered by several restorations in the 19th century, it presents original typology adulterated.
According to documents of the time, the process for the construction of Misericórdia de Góis was started in 1596 and, with the help and help of the people, was created in 1598. According to the Historical Archive of Góis, the original construction has undergone changes, however, dates and type of modifications are difficult to pinpoint.
It is known that in 1867 the works began to be put there to place the clock, where still today, works that lasted until 1887.
Today we can find, in Largo Francisco Inácio Dias Nogueira, a nineteenth-century building with a lateral tribune, whose images are Santa Rita carved in wood, dating back to the sixteenth century, and also Our Lady of the Conception, from the eighteenth century.
